Dwell Development said it has sold two high-performance houses on Flora Avenue South a few blocks from the retail and dining district in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood.

The industrial-modern style houses at 6217 and 6221 Flora sold for $995,000 and $975,000, respectively.

Seattle-based Dwell was the contractor and developer of the houses, which are each 2,500 square feet and have three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, a deck and a two-car garage.

First Lamp Architecture was the architect and Evergreen Certified the third-party energy verifier.

In a press release, Dwell said the style of the houses was inspired by the industrial aesthetic and manufacturing roots of the neighborhood. The angled rooftops and reclaimed wood accents on the exterior are a nod to warehouses and the open layout was inspired by a hangar. This helps maximize space and creates an efficient air flow, Dwell said.

The houses are 5-star Built Green certified and net zero ready.

Dwell said they have an airtight building envelope, 12-inch-thick walls, solar-ready rooftop configurations, electric vehicle charging units, triple-glazed windows, a heat recovery ventilation system and an EnviroDri exterior barrier system to protect the houses from wet weather.
