THE FIRST ANNUAL SEATTLE DESIGN AWARDS REVEALS THE WINNERS

Recognizing top designers in residential and commercial architectural and interior design benefiting Ladybug House.

On Saturday, April 25th, DList Magazine revealed the winners in the architectural and interior design industry for the 2015 Seattle Design Awards. The event took place at the Pacific Science Center – Ackerley Family Exhibit Gallery and focused on raising money for Ladybug House that hopes to build the first palliative care home for young children and young adults. Over three hundred VIP and influential people of the industry attended the sold out event.

DWELL-DEVELOPMENT
Winners were chosen by a panel of judges based on quality of design, innovation, thoughtfulness, ambiance with furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Finalists were weighed individually, not in competition with others. Awards were given in 12 different categories:

Best Use of Color – Residential: Lindsey Runyon Designs
Best Bath Design: Creative Kitchens & Baths Seattle LLC
Best Kitchen Design: Unique Design Visions
Furniture Designer of the Year: Sara Wise Design
Emerging Designers of the Year: Allijay Interiors
Interior Designer of the Year: Unique Design Visions
Best Green Design: Dwell Development/ Julian Weber Architects
Best Use of Color – Commercial: JPC Architects
Bar/Lounge Design of the Year: Revolver (Atelier Drome Architecture)
Restaurant Design of the Year: Lark/Bitter Raw
Best Salon/Spa Design: Gary Manuel Studio – South Lake Union
Best Work Space: Bullitt Foundation Offices

An additional award was giving to Ginger Atherton for the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award in interior design.

Ladybug House will be a community based palliative care home offering free respite and end of life care to children and young adults in a home setting. Ladybug House will be amongst the first residential hospice and respite care homes in the United States for children and young adults where families can focus and devote every moment on renewing and connecting to what matters most, family.
