Anthony Maschmedt | Principal

With more than thirteen years experience building homes in the greater Seattle area, Anthony is an advocate for sustainable design and green construction. He continues to push the envelope in the sustainable community with innovative construction methods that have positively influenced city building practices. As a lifelong Seattleite, Anthony has a deep commitment to creating communities that bring together like-minded individuals who value sustainability and modern design.

Anthony has served as the Chair on the Board of the Master Builder’s Association of King and Snohomish Counties’ Built Green Residential Building Program for the last three years. He is a key member of the Columbia City Business Association and is sought after in the Seattle sustainable community to promote and share Dwell Development’s green agenda.

Abbey Maschmedt | Design Project Manager

.

As Design Project Manager at Dwell Development, Abbey is not only focused on selecting home finishes, but more importantly, seeking out rare, reclaimed materials that make each home a one-of-a-kind. Abbey collaborates with local suppliers to incorporate high end products and sustainable materials into every home to reflect a unique design personality.

Recently Abbey received international recognition for efforts in green design. Abbey worked in the building trades for over 20 years before joining forces with her husband Anthony in 2013. Abbey’s design is most inspired by travel. She appreciates the historical architecture found around the world..

Taylor Twisdale | Project Manager

Taylor is the newest member of the Dwell Development team. He recently relocated from North Carolina and brings with him 8 years of construction project management experience. He has a wide range of industry knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and a boots on the ground mentality.

Taylor is looking forward to becoming a leader in the sustainable construction industry locally and nationally. He is an avid fly fisherman and active member of several conservation groups that help protect public lands for everyone. He is passionate about sustainability and conservation that will help protect the environment for future generations..

Lilly | Office Dog

.

.Lilly is a Miniature Schnauzer who loves to assist her sidekick Frankie in keeping the office lively. Lilly is known for her warm greetings, except to the mailman, and her floor sweeping efforts with her beard. She loves people, especially the ones that give her attention and bring snacks.

Most days her goal is to play with Frankie and get a good nap in.

.Frankie is the Dwell Development official mascot. He is a Boston Terrier and resides in Columbia City, but loves Georgetown for its diverse restaurants and parks. He spends most days cleaning the office floors and napping, but also loves to tour our various projects.

Denise Haugen Williams | Accountant

Denise brings over 30 years of number crunching experience in multiple industries. A transplant from Oregon she began her career with a local Seattle CPA firm who specialized in construction accounting which helped developed her passion for the construction, and property management industry. Her years of experience and construction knowledge make her uniquely qualified for the challenge of Building green homes that are affordable in a challenging real estate climate, which has become her latest mission.

Tadashi Shiga | Owner, Evergreen Certified

Tadashi Shiga, owner of Evergreen Certified, possesses the knowledge, experience, and determination to help Dwell Development achieve their sustainable building project goals. Tadashi goes beyond mere consultation and works to build systems that create lasting change. With an interest in continual development, Tadashi stays current on all new green building techniques and strategies through regular training and certification.

In addition to Built Green Verifier, he possesses several advanced sustainable building credentials and affiliations including Certified HERS rater, Northwest ENERGY STAR Verifier and US Department of Energy Builders Challenge Partner. He is also the only Passivhaus certifier in Washington State.

Amy is the co-owner of Paxson Fay, a Seattle-based marketing and communications firm specializing in architecture, design and art. After 5 years of working in advertising in New York and Los Angeles, Amy returned to her hometown of Seattle where she received an MBA and certificate in marketing from Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and Economics in 2015. Amy launched Paxson Fay with co-owner, Tessa Andrews, in 2015 and now has over 10 clients across the country.
